The graduate school was established in 1987, consisting master’s degree programs in 4 different major fields of studies with the top construction management program.
The graduate school’s staff consists of 200 of Korea University’s prestigious full-time professors who focus on industrial technology research and education. To provide convenience for workers, the lectures are held at night.
The masters program is for 5 semesters, and with the completion of 30 or more credits, an overall exam, an oral exam, and passing of your dissertation, you will be awarded a Master of Engineering degree. A person who has obtained a master’s degree at our graduate school has the qualifications to enter the doctorate program at the regular graduate school.
The research program, which is a program to recharge leading members of various fields in businesses and/or societies with new technical knowledge, is registered for 2 semesters. Taking the 6 courses, adding up to 12 credits, presents you with a certification, and as alumni of KU you are allowed to participate in the activities of the alumni association.
Through operating high-level programs with the goal of reeducating members or society, we try to graft business and industrial site experience with theory by professional education; therefore we are operating top-level construction management programs.
Also, implementing a chair professor system from year 2000’s, to serve the immense contributors of our country’s industrial circle, has been aiding the growth of our graduate school. While enrolled in our graduate school, you are able to use the science library and the information data processing association as well as our campus laboratories and research facilities. You are also able to participate in the industrial technology development through industrial-educational-cooperation research in industrial units.
